The scholarship is to be used for a Master of Library Science program that is ALA-accredited.

The University of Louisiana awards scholarships to CIS majors attending their School’s College of Business. Some transfer students and freshmen are eligible. The CIS Scholastic Excellence Scholarship goes to a full-time undergraduate majoring in CIS who has a minimum GPA of 3.0. The FAFSA must be filed to demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is for two years and a maximum $10,000 per year.
